Dragon Tales – November 2019

A Message from the Principal

Dear Mallinckrodt Families,

As we enter into the season of “Giving Thanks”, I would like to thank the wonderful staff, awesome students and supportive parents for making my transition to Mallinckrodt smooth and enjoyable. Your patience during this time, as we have had to navigate through some communication lines, is definitely appreciated.

A lot of great things have happened this semester. The Scholastic Book Fair was a huge success and the Veteran’s Day assembly was awesome. We are still collecting donations for the Canned Food Drive, which will benefit students in St. Louis Public Schools as well as those in need throughout the city of St. Louis. Thank you for all of your participation! Junior Achievement hosted fun and exciting sessions in grades K-5. The students have been on several out of school adventures, including the Holocaust Museum, City Museum, Meramec Caverns, Science Center, and the Arch.

We would like to welcome Mrs. Clemens, our new Science Lab teacher, to the MAGI family. You can read her bio on the school’s SLPS website. Mrs. Clemens also shared some information in this month’s newsletter about the great things that are taking place in her lab.

As we embark on the festive days ahead, please take time to enjoy your families and friends. The weather is constantly changing, so please remember to send your little ones with hats, gloves, and coats.

We look forward to seeing on December 18th at for the Winter Music Program (see calendar for performance times.)

Best wishes,
Principal Gordon
