Join us on Saturday, November 2 for School Beautification Day.
If you’ve ever wanted to help out and do something around school, or if you’ve looked around and said to yourself, “someone should fix/clean/spruce-up ______”? Now is your chance to help make a difference!
Tasks for the day will include outside trash pick-up, raking, and planting of bulbs. Inside, we need people willing to do some deep cleaning (dress appropriately) and special requests from teachers. Please feel free to bring family and friends! This is a great way to earn service hours

Consider taking on a role of Crew Chief. This simply means you are leading group in a specific area of the school and making sure everyone is on task. We will provide you with directions. Areas needing a Crew Chief: Outside, Cafeteria, Level 1, 2, and 3 of school.

Veterans Day was originally called Armistice Day. A change in an act (52 Stat. 351; 5 U. S. Code, Sec. 87a) approved May 13, 1938, made the 11th of November a legal holiday known as “Armistice Day”, to honor the veterans of World War I. But, in World War II, there was a great immobilization of Veterans, thus it was changed from “Armistice Day” to “Veterans Day”.
Each 2nd – 5th grade classroom will have a competition in their respective classroom, were one student will emerge as a room champion. That room champion will move on to the school wide competition where each will compete to earn the title “School Champion”.
Parents of the classroom champions can attend (space is limited in the cafeteria).
